During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused blackouts in extensive areas of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were hurt while inhabitants in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and faced problems to water supplies, per reports from city officials.

Simultaneously, a young boy was killed in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, according to local officials.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty missiles attacked the country's power systems, describing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were striving to repair systems.

A series of attacks hit energy infrastructure and residential structures in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the strikes on the capital have been transported for medical care, per statements from local officials.
